Spam Terrier's Bayesian filter, the core of the program, can be trained to recognize new spam when it arrives. Because spam is different for different people, you get to define what should be considered spam by telling Spam Terrier what, from your past email, you consider to be spam. The filter then learns certain behavior/appearance patterns and applies these characteristics to spam filtering of future messages.

Definable whitelists and blacklists
Spam Terrier doesn't limit its filters to the use of senders' white- or blacklists (respectively, the list of allowed/blocked senders) when it processes emails.
